Bad Guitar Habits

  •   Bad Habits – Bad habits are hard to break. Whether you are just starting out or you’ve been playing for 20 years, we sometimes form bad habits that are hard to get past. There a few things that will immediately correct bad habits to improve performance. The 1st thing that will help is to use the tips of your fingers when hitting a note with your left hand. Remember to cut your nails if they’re long. Long nails on your left hand will make it more difficult to hit the note properly. The 2nd thing that will help is to record yourself. Have a little audio recorder so you may hear what you play. By hearing what you play, you will easily identify what sounds good and what doesn’t. The 3rd thing is make sure your fingers are arched. Arching the fingers is necessary to form chords properly and move around the fret board.
